【摘要】:Thistestmethodcanbeutilizedtoverifytheperformanceofpolarizationresistancemeasurementequipmentincludingreferenceelectrodes,electrochemicalcells,potentiostats,scangenerators,measuringandrecordingdevices.Thetestmethodisalsousefulfortrainingoperatorsinsamplepreparationandexperimentaltechniquesforpolarizationresistancemeasurements.Polarizationresistancecanberelatedtotherateofgeneralcorrosionformetalsatorneartheircorrosionpotential,Ecorr.Polarizationresistancemeasurementsareanaccurateandrapidwaytomeasurethegeneralcorrosionrate.Realtimecorrosionmonitoringisacommonapplication.Thetechniquecanalsobeusedasawaytorankalloys,inhibitors,andsoforthinorderofresistancetogeneralcorrosion.Inthistestmethod,asmallpotentialscan,x0394;E(t),definedwithrespecttothecorrosionpotential(x0394;E=Ex2013;Ecorr),isappliedtoametalsample.Theresultantcurrentsarerecorded.Thepolarizationresistance,RP,ofacorrodingelectrodeisdefinedfromEq1astheslopeofapotentialversuscurrentdensityplotati=0(1-4):Thecurrentdensityisgivenbyi.Thecorrosioncurrentdensity,icorr,isrelatedtothepolarizationresistancebytheStern-Gearycoefficient,B.(3),ThedimensionofRpisohm-cm2,icorrismuA/cm2,andBisinV.TheStern-Gearycoefficientisrelatedtotheanodic,ba,andcathodic,bc,TafelslopesasperEq3.TheunitsoftheTafelslopesareV.Thecorrosionrate,CR,inmmperyearcanbedeterminedfromEq4inwhichEWistheequivalentweightofthecorrodingspeciesingramsandx03C1;isthedensityofthecorrodingmaterialing/cm3.RefertoPracticeG102forderivationsoftheaboveequationsandmethodsforestimatingTafelslopes.Thetestmethodmaynotbeappropriatetomeasurepolarizationresistanceonallmaterialsorinallenvironments.See9.2foradiscussionofmethodbiasesarisingfromsolutionresistanceandelectrodecapacitance.1.1Thistestmethodcoversanexperimentalprocedureforpolarizationresistancemeasurementswhichcanbeusedforthecalibrationofequipmentandverificationofexperimentaltechnique.Thetestmethodcanprovidereproduciblecorrosionpotentialsandpotentiodynamicpolarizationresistancemeasurements.1.2ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasstandard.Nootherunitsofmeasurementareincludedinthisstandard.1.3Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatory......
