【摘要】:TheAtlantektestsystemallowssimulationoftheprintingconditionsofthermaltransferprintersinthemarketplace.Thus,thissystemisusefulinmatchingthermaltransferproductperformancetovariousthermalprintheads.Thistestsystemisusefulfornewproductdevelopment.Thermaltransferprintermanufacturerscandesignprintcontrolalgorithmstomatchparticularprintheaddesignstothermalimagingproducts.Thermalimagingproductmanufacturerscanformulateanddesignproducts(media)toprovideamatchwithcertainprintheaddesigns.Manufacturingprocesscontrolcanmakethermalresponsecomparisonsrelativetoprocesschanges.Customersforthermalproductscanusethistestmethodtocomparesuppliesfromvariousmanufacturers.Thetestsystemcanbeusedtoevaluatethermalresponseoffacsimile,label,medicalrecorder,plotter,andotherthermaltransferproducts(media).Performancedifferencesbetweenprintheadsandmediacombinationscanbemeasuredandpresentedgraphically.Theinterrelationshipbetweenprintingcontrolvariablescanalsobestudied.1.1Thistestmethodcoversthemeasurementofthermalresponseofvariousthermalmasstransferribbonsusedforfacsimile,labels,medicalrecorders,plotters,andprinters.1.2TheAtlantekThermalResponseTesterModel200describedinthistestmethodmaybeusedforspecificationacceptance,productdevelopment,andresearchapplications.Althoughthistestmethodidentifiesspecificprintheads,thetesterdoessupportadditionalprintheads.1.3Thevaluesstatedininch-poundunitsaretoberegardedasstandard.Nootherunitsofmeasurementareincludedinthisstandard.1.4Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifanyassociatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.Forspecificprecautionarystatements,seeSection8.
